Matt Elliott started in the residential construction industry nearly 30 years ago. During college, some friends asked him to join their framing crew in New Orleans and, since then, he has looked forward to each day and each challenge in home building. He moved to Peachtree City, Georgia, in 1980 and soon was recognized for his attention to detail and asked to join the management team of a successful regional builder.

He sees every situation as an opportunity to learn and works to find the most efficient method to produce the desired result. Many of his innovations have been implemented by his peers and craftsmen to overcome persistent design flaws and achieve a consistent level of quality. He has been recognized by local City and County Officials for his professional attitude and positive actions to maintain a building environment, setting the example for his coworkers.

Matt has developed an approach to home building designed to meet and exceed the homeowners’ expectations. This requires preplanning and design as well as verification before the construction process begins. He says that, many times, a preconstruction conference has enabled the further definition of expectations and prevented time consuming delays due to change orders and materials. A pre-drywall walkthrough with the homeowner ensures verification of each selection and requirement.

He feels that quality is not one single thing, but the result of each process in the building path. He says that “Quality is an emotion that you feel when you enter a well built home. When you add that to the result of considering the homeowner at each critical step, it is possible to meet their expectations. That is why our motto is, ‘Quality in the Making.’ ”

Matt is a member of The Home Builders Association of Mid West Georgia. Additionally, he is an active participant in the Music Ministry of Holy Trinity Church. His favorite recreation is fishing.
